In order to provide a detailed search option to our users, and enable them to use it as easy and productive as possible, we have included OCR in our search functionality.
What is OCR?
OCR, meaning Optical character recognition or optical character reader is the electronic conversion of a text from images, photos, videos, PDFs, subtitles, and other files, into machine-encoded text. Once the text is encoded, it is searchable along with other texts that appear in titles, descriptions, emails, and written documents.
Why do we use OCR?
By enabling you to use OCR in the search, we actually give you the opportunity to find any file - even if you don't remember the title, the author, or even the source that the file is in.
